The frame opens to reveal the setting, yet low light keeps things mysterious – we're probably in forbidden waters. Maybe this is an exercise meant to train us to distinguish a shadow's movement in pitch darkness. Hence the ghost light on the left of this strange stage, this one-man show. The camera moves, but it is left afloat.
