So far, the camera has only tilted upward — a solemn, almost sacramental movement, as if meaning to hallow the water or the main shadowy figure (who seems ready to be raised to heaven anyway). It lands in a ¾ close-up, echoing the previous one, but now caught in left profile. Our hero is turning the other cheek.
