Every dancer needs a partner, and lacking better options, a man might circle his prey and recruit on stage any witness to his symptomatic presence; if anything, this man applies force with a sense of grace, so his violation looks like a pirouette, and the glance behind his shoulder disguises his need to watch his back as a search for an audience. He's so ashamed of grace that he outbalances it with some good old-fashioned nose-rubbing. Sancho Panza wonders whether his own private Quixote was worth the trouble.
