A trip is a trip is a trip: the camera underlines that some people stumble but never fall, which means that in the end they will never be given the chance to stand up. Diverting as this brief choreography is, it makes us feel far-sighted. The two men keep shifting positions, our new entry always blurry in and out, our old friend (by now), facing the camera straight on, probably for the first time. Maybe he wants his heart to align with ours, or maybe he’s just avoiding the sun. Either way, there’s real truth in it.
