Film viewing is a voyeuristic habit: we already knew that, but shots like this one tend to remind us just in case – not quite a masked frame, but this time we feel comfortable peeping behind something that feels like giant perforations. The man who in the previous shot looked like Dennis Hopper on a good day now looks again like a kid who just learned how to balance on a bike and forgets to lock it. We find pleasure in sneaking his regression; but mostly, we're satisfied we know his secret.
